hi, Ryan. Love your videos for the tons of good info on health-related topics. I really wanted to make this tea, but had an awful time finding raw watermelon seeds with the shells still on them that weren't roasted and, believe me, the roasting process gives the tea an oily taste. Do you, or any other viewer, know where I can find raw seeds that are not roasted AND still have their shells. I have severe edema and desperately need to gain weight. I live in the US and would appreciate any help. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge because I've learned so much.
Is it okay to rinse the salt
You all should be more careful and not be so naive, the article that this video links is from some random guys blog, without any citations from scholarly or trustworthy sources.
I'm not saying this video or the article is fake, just that you should be cautious, who knows what the tea actually does.
Cross examination of research is always recommended, and I always suggest people make their own minds up about natural remedies and make their own choices. This is simply an informational video, and everyone is welcome to speak to their own trusted herbalist, doctor or nutritionist :)
Wow! I throw all my water melon seeds, in fact I think they get in the way while enjoying the sweet delicious flesh! I am from Malaysia, the fruit is cheap in my country, we grow it. Now after watching this vide, I'll be sure to consume the seeds..
Around 3 tablespoons per day will suffice, and this is the perfect amount for making a tea. 1 cup would be if you are trying for rapid weight loss, which would require about a watermelon a day. This isn't too excessive, as the fruit is also great for hydration and great for the metabolism.
No the so called cyanide is actually B-17 the US is the only country in the world that calls it cyanide therefore of course its banned. Where can you get original (non GMO) watermellon with seeds in it in the US ? Does anyone know? I've been looking for couple years and cannot find them anywhere. Maybe the amish or hooterites? I'm sure i mispelled that
Some fruits seeds contain amygdalin. The digestive tract converts this to trace amounts of cyanide. This is NOT TRUE of watermelon seeds, but it is within apples, apricots, cherries, peaches and plums. However, you would have to eat an incredible amount to cause harm, and there haven't been any cases of this happening :) - http://goo.gl/D7Bbxz :)
I have been eating watermelon seeds all of my life, and have never experienced any problems whatsoever. They are highly nutritious and cannot harm you. But I agree, always perform your own research and decide what is best for your unique body. Thank you for watching :)
This is what the world needs- unselfishness. I hope lots more see this info and show their appreciation, too. The 1 thumbs down I see is one of those people who do it for the sake of putting others down, just to spoil another's day. Woe betide such persons.
