Can you drink coffee with milk and sugar ? (Outside the 8 hour window) P.S. I would recommend you guys to not eat junk food in this diet. It's better to make some burger or pizza at home, maybe even cakes! And avoid cold drinks no matter what!

I have an opposite view on this. 16 hour fasting is great. However, eating fruits/veggies, lean meats to a minimum, and water should be consumed. Potato chips is high in hydrogenated oils which is very bad for health. Ice cream can't be consumed by a lot of people due to lactose intolerance. Butter is also not good. I get the chocolate thing, but in moderation. If people can eat anything they want in an 8 hour setting, this is very misleading. Look at obesity and diabetes because of people eating anything they want. This diet only works if people cut all junk and sugary foods, resulting to vegies/fruits, lean meats and fish but in moderation, water, and the big one Exercise. People want fast results, but remember it's fast to put weight on, but time to take it off.

It is real. I have been intermittent fasting for over a year. It works. You can only drink no calorie drinks during the 16 hours like water, black coffee and green or black tea. Nothing fruit infused.

I know what you are saying. But professionals, advise to still pay attention on what you eat and not go above a certain amount of calories and try to eat healthy and not just junk food.

Not all calories are created equal. 500 calories of protein or fat has a completely different affect on the body - particularly insulin response - than 500 calories of sugar.

Not according to what I've read. Have you done any research on or had experience with intermittent fasting? I think the gist of intermittent fasting is that it is very difficult to get excessive amounts of calories in in that short a period. On average, people will overeat a bit during the feeding period but since there are so many hours when eating is not allowed fewer calories are consumed overall. My above comments don't even address the impact of hormones on weight loss during fasting.

I was so stressed for not having early breakfast now I feel better I been fasting without knowing lol. My latest dinner is at 6 and breakfatst at 11 , I can't eat too early and my weight is fine.

I was slim years ago, when I would have had to get up too early in the morning to eat breakfast before I left for work. One is inundated with "breakfast is the most important meal of the day," and since I began eating breakfast I've gained a lot of weight. Time to go back to no breakfast, it looks like!

Rose Rose First, before you criticize someone else, learn to write English properly. Even the Muslims who appear to be peaceful are not doing anything to stop the Muslim terrorists. (Have you heard the saying that some Muslims commit violence, and the rest let the violent ones commit violence for them?) Anyone who follows a sacred text that commands that everyone who won't "join up" be converted, enslaved or KILLED cannot be viewed as innocent or trustworthy. The only sacred text that commands that is the Koran. American Christians would never return to a church that commanded them one Sunday morning to kill everyone who doesn't belong to their church, and they have been very naive about the propaganda that Islam is the "religion of peace" for decades. Sheila Daniel our fasting hasn't been planned by human beings but our Almighty and muslims have always fast with no health issues due to eating late as u mention its better u keep ur dirty comments about one's religion. Intermittent fasting is just a copy of muslim fasting as non muslim has always copied muslim so this time also they are doing.
