In fact, more specifically, atherosclerosis, which is the hardening of your arteries, accounts for almost 60% of ED cases in men over the age of 55!1,3 Erectile Dysfunction - A Sign Of Heart Disease? What’s interesting is that the newest research shows that men with ED typically also have heart problems.5 Thus, ED is a pre-warning sign that you may have a heart attack or stroke in the future because you have a buildup of plaque and calcium in your blood vessels.5 How To Improve Your Blood Flow The older we get, the worse your circulation becomes. This affects your entire body - from head to your two, inside and out. Remember, your blood contains oxygen, youthful hormones and nutrients to feed all of your cells. So you must improve your circulation for better health and longevity and this first starts with improving your lifestyle. This means: Reduce or eliminate fried fats. Eat natural, raw fats - raw nuts and seeds, avocados, extra virgin olive oil, fish oils and similar uncooked fats. Choose wild caught fish and cage-free poultry more often than red meat. Eliminate dairy, sugars and caffeine. Exercise more. If you smoke, quit. Lose extra weight. Eat more soluble fiber. Good sources are fruits, beans, peas, oats and fiber supplements. Manage stress and get more rest. These are the basics and I’m sure you already know most of these suggestions. Lifestyle improvements take time to see the benefits, so please be patient! This simple exercise will also help avoid the embarrasing “premature ejeculation”, allowing you to statisfy your parter, better and long than ever before. If you’ve been following my work and watching my videos, you would know that certain exercises can either increase or decrease your libido, erection strength, hardness and even size, because of hormonal changes. If you didn’t already know, testosterone is the primary hormone that increases your libido, sex drive and “muscle size”. Unfortunately, this hormone starts to decrease around the age of 25. However, certain exercises can increase your decrease your testosterone. For example, doing too much cardiovascular exercise - like running, jogging, etc. can decrease your testosterone because of the increase in your stress hormone, cortisol. TWO things you do NOT want to do. One of the best forms of exercise for increasing your testosterone is lifting weights. However, too much of that isn’t good either. About 3-4x weekly, no more than an hour is just the right amount to increase your testosterone and help improve your libido and sex drive. The Non-Exercise, Exercise However, today I’m NOT going to discuss anything about lifting weights, cardio, etc. I’ve done that in the past. What I want to talk about is a very simple “non-exercise”, exercise... that you can do RIGHT NOW, while watching this video and that’s called, the Kegel Exercise. I call this the “non-exercise” exercise because it requires no gym, equipment or even real movement. Now, some of you may have heard of this. Unfortunately most do it incorrectly. Kegel exercises are done to strengthen the perineal muscles. To “flex” this muscle, it’s very simple. One way to describe how to do it is, by contracting your anus muscle, as if you’re trying to hold in gas. Go ahead and give it a try now... Another way to do it is stop peeing midway through. Thus, as you’re peeing, “contract the muscle” that will STOP the pee, midway through. That’s it - that’s a kegel exercise. Super simple, but extremely effective. You can literally do it anywhere, anytime and nobody would know. Sets & Reps You should do kegel’s about 3x a week to start with. Over time, slowly build up to 5x weekly. Just don’t do it every single day because like any muscle, it requires rest to gain strength. Contract the muscle (holding in gas or stop peeing) and hold for 3-5 seconds. Relax for 1-2 seconds. That’s ONE repetition Do this 10 of these, for 10 repetitions. That’s ONE set Do one set of 10 repetitions, 3x weekly. Then maybe the next week do 2 sets of 10 reps and work up to 3 sets of 10 reps, 3x weekly. You can do it all at once, or break it up 2-3x daily. Nothing it set in stone. What matters is consistency, persistence and patience. Benefits There lots of benefits when this muscle is strong Stronger, full erections Last longer, more stamina and the prevention of premature ejeculation. Stronger orgasms. Healthier prostate. Improvement for those who have overactive bladder or urinary incontinence. How To Improve Results Of course, doing the right exercises is a great start. However, the bottom line is that you need to have optimal levels of your anti-aging, “pro-sexual” hormones such as total and free testosterone levels. And if you’re over the 30, then I can guarantee that your “youth” hormones just aren’t where they used to be and are going lower and lower each year. Now we'd like to introduce you to two that you don't normally see but can have a major impact on ED because they directly effect your ability to create nitric oxide. They are vitamins D3 and K2. Before we talk about why you need them let's first address the cause of most ED issues. It's the lack of nitric oxide production. On the screen is a picture of your vascular system as it ages. The first item to note is the drastic reduction in nitric oxide production as you age. By the time you reach the age of 60 your nitric oxide production could have decreased by as much as 85%. This reduction in the production of nitric oxide is due to damage to the interior lining of all of your cardiovascular system. This lining is called the endothelium and it regulates most of your cardiovascular health and blood flow. There are four major factors that damage this tissue leading to plaque formations and calcification. They are: high blood pressure high blood glucose or sugar levels cholesterol particularly LDL or Bad Cholesterol and Smoking Why is this important? Because it's estimated that 65% of all ED issues are caused by atherosclerosis, which is placque formations and arteriosclerosis, which is calcification of the vascular wall. Vitamins D3 and K2 directly address this damage. First, vitamin K2 has been shown to reverse arterial calcification helping to return more of the endothelium back into a healthy, functioning tissue. This results in improve nitric oxide production. Second, the production of nitric oxide by the endothelium is a calcium dependent reaction. The combination of vitamins D3 and K2 help to properly regulate calcium levels in your bloodstream to help optimize this nitric oxide product. Third, as you increase your nitric oxide production to high enough levels over a long enough period of time, this process initiates reparative mechanisms that heal additional damage done to the endothelium. This returns even more surface volume back into play resulting in even higher levels of nitric oxide production. This benefits both improved cardiovascular and sexual health. Erectile dysfunction is the inability to develop or maintain an erection for satisfactory sexual intercourse. Also, Erectile dysfunction is the preferred term, rather than impotence. Now, if you have ED problems once in awhile, that’s normal. It happens to all men even though they may not admit to it. However, if it’s been on and off for more than a couple of months, then we can assume you do have some degree of erectile dysfunction, which is a warning sign of a health problem. The Shocking Statistics When you think about ED, you typically picture an older guy in his 70’s … Well, NOT that you’re thinking about guys in their 70’s, just that it tends to happen to “older” men. However, ED problems are starting in guys in their mid 20’s. In fact, statistics show that 20% of men in their 20’s have ED, 40% of guys in their 40’s, 60% of men in their 60’s and so forth. The prevalence of complete ED increases from 10% to 15% as age increases from 40 to 70 years. Thus, even though it does affect men to some degree at all ages, after the age of 40 is when the real problems become “common”. In fact, this is called “Andropause” in men, similar to “menopause” in women. And the cause is similar for most everyone, a negative change in your hormones, primarily due to aging. This is due to an imbalance hormones. A decrease in your “pro-sexual” hormones, such as total and free testosterone … Versus an increase in your negative “anti-sexual” hormones, such as female hormones (estrogen, progesterone, prolactin, etc.) and stress hormones (cortisol, adrenalin, etc.) What Are The Causes Of ED? Unfortunately, your penis has a mind of its own and thus, there are lots of causes leading to ED. Different medications and drugs can cause impotence or ED, stress and worry, vascular and blood flow, boredom with your partner, fatigue, illness and of course, the negative changes in your hormones due to aging. What Are The Solutions? The solution has to be based on the original problem. For example, people who have heart disease or diabetes, have vascular and blood flow problems, leading to erectile dysfunction. In this situation, you’d need to improve your lifestyle, eat better, exercise and take the right supplements to help fix this problem and prevent it from getting worse. However, over and over again, the common denominator tends to be hormonal. Listen... stress, worry, anxiety and depression can all cause ED. Some “experts” will say “hey, that’s not hormonal, that’s emotional”. Yes to a small degree, but I say NO! Stress and worry cause an increase in your “fight or flight” stress hormones such as adrenalin and cortisol, BOTH opposing testosterone and lowering this primary “sex drive” hormone. People who are overweight and have extra belly fat, have higher estrogen levels because fat cells produce estrogen, which will send a signal to your testicles to produce LESS testosterone. Now you end up with a higher ratio of FEMALE hormones to male hormones -- which is obviously BAD for getting an erection. By the way, more female hormones cause depression and anxiety, which now we go back to the beginning causing MORE stress and thus, LESS testosterone. It turns into this negative loop, causing more and more hormonal problems This is why the older you get, the lower your testosterone and the more ED problems. Fix your hormones and you’ll fix your ED, you’ll improve your drive - both in the bedroom and in life!
